5. AI-Assisted Features

TrainAnything may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, analytics, and rules-based systems to provide and improve features such as training organization, summaries, workout or plan authoring, and athlete or coach review.

TrainAnything does not provide personally identifiable athlete information to external AI model providers for processing, and does not permit identifiable athlete information to be used to train publicly available third-party AI models.

AI-assisted features support human judgment and are not medical advice or a substitute for a qualified healthcare professional.

6. Connected Services and API Data

Authorization and Data Use

Connecting a third-party service is optional. Before receiving information, TrainAnything uses the provider’s authentication and authorization process. The provider’s authorization screen identifies applicable permissions. We request only permissions reasonably necessary for the connected features you choose to use.

We use connected-service information to import and display completed training, compare planned and completed workouts, support athlete and coach review, deliver supported structured workouts, maintain training history, create athlete-facing and coach-facing summaries, and operate, secure, and improve the connected features you request.

Disconnecting a Service

You may disconnect a service using TrainAnything account settings, when available, the connected provider’s settings, or by contacting support@trainanything.com. Disconnecting stops future collection through that connection. Previously imported information may remain subject to this Policy unless deletion is required by the provider’s terms or requested by you.

Provider-specific rules may require earlier deletion. For example, Strava-sourced data will be handled according to applicable Strava API requirements, including deletion requirements following a qualifying request or cancellation of API access.

Apple Health and HealthKit

Information obtained through Apple Health or HealthKit is used only to provide health, fitness, coaching, and training functionality requested by you. We do not use HealthKit information for advertising, sell it to data brokers, or disclose it for unrelated purposes. HealthKit permissions are requested by data type and may be changed through Apple’s system settings.

Third-Party Terms

A connected provider processes information according to its own privacy policy, terms, controls, and security practices. TrainAnything does not control that provider’s independent processing. A provider may modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue API access, which may affect connected features.

7. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:

Coaches and Authorized Personnel

If you receive coaching or guided services, information may be available to your assigned coach, substitute or supporting coaches, authorized operations personnel, and specialists you direct us to involve. Access is limited to information reasonably necessary to provide the applicable services.

Service Providers

We may disclose information to vendors that support cloud hosting, storage, authentication, payments, customer support, communications, analytics, security, application development, video hosting, event administration, professional services, and other business operations. These providers may process information only for contracted purposes and subject to applicable confidentiality, privacy, and security obligations.

Affiliates

Train Anything LLC and TA Technologies LLC may share information with each other as necessary to operate, maintain, secure, support, and improve the Services, subject to this Policy.

Connected Services at Your Direction

At your direction, we may send structured workouts, training plans, courses, connection status, or related information to a connected service. The receiving provider’s privacy practices govern its handling of the information.

Other Users and Public Features

Certain community, event, team, or sharing features may make information visible to other users or to the public based on the feature and the choices you make. Before using a sharing feature, review the available audience and visibility settings. Information shared outside TrainAnything may remain available through the recipient or third-party service.

Legal, Safety, and Business Transactions

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process; protect rights, safety, and property; investigate fraud or security incidents; enforce agreements; establish or defend legal claims; or complete a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction subject to appropriate protections.

With Your Direction or Consent

We may disclose information when you direct us to do so, consent to the disclosure, or intentionally use a feature designed to share information.

8. Sale of Personal Information and Advertising

TrainAnything does not sell personal information for money. We do not sell athlete, workout, health, wellness, precise-location, Apple Health, or connected-service information to data brokers or information resellers.

We do not use Apple Health or HealthKit information, or other health and fitness information obtained through connected services, for targeted advertising. We may use cookies and similar technologies for analytics, communications, service measurement, and marketing as described below, subject to applicable law and available privacy choices.

If we engage in processing that is considered a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable law, we will provide the disclosures and choices required by law.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, local storage, software development kits, pixels, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, maintain security, understand use, diagnose performance, measure communications, and improve or market the Services.

These technologies may collect device, browser, IP address, usage, referral, and interaction information. Some technologies are necessary for the Services to function; others may support analytics or marketing.

You may control certain technologies through browser, device, account, or cookie settings. Disabling necessary technologies may affect the Services. Where required, we will provide cookie choices and recognize applicable legally required opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control. Because there is no uniform standard for Do Not Track signals, we do not respond to them unless required by law.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain your account and training history, complete transactions, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the Services.

In determining retention periods, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the information; the purposes for which it is processed; whether those purposes can be achieved by other means; and applicable legal and connected-provider requirements.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information. We may retain limited information when required or permitted for legal, financial, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or recordkeeping purposes. Information may remain in backups until overwritten through our normal backup cycle.

Connected-service information may be deleted sooner when required by a provider’s terms or when you disconnect or request deletion. For example, Strava-sourced data is handled under applicable Strava API deletion requirements.

11. Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, acquisition, use, alteration, and disclosure. The safeguards we use are appropriate to the nature of the information and our Services.

No system is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your credentials and promptly notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.

12. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have rights to:

·       Confirm whether we process your personal information and access it

·       Correct inaccurate personal information

·       Request deletion of personal information

·       Obtain a portable copy of certain information

·       Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent

·       Disconnect a third-party service

·       Opt out of qualifying sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling

·       Appeal a decision regarding a privacy request

·       Receive non-discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights

You may access or update certain account information and manage connected services through available account settings. To submit another request, contact support@trainanything.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line or write to the address in Section 20. We may verify your identity and, where permitted, an authorized agent’s authority.

If we deny a request and applicable law provides an appeal right, reply to our decision or contact support@trainanything.com with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line.

13. Consumer Health Data

Training, activity, heart-rate, recovery, sleep, stress, route, location, and similar information may qualify as consumer health data or sensitive personal information under certain U.S. state laws, even when it is not protected by HIPAA.

We use this information for the fitness, training, coaching, connected-service, security, and support purposes described in this Policy. We do not sell consumer health data or use it for targeted advertising.

Where required, a separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice will provide additional information about applicable collection, sharing, and rights. You may contact support@trainanything.com regarding consumer health data.

14. Health Information and Medical Status

TrainAnything is not a medical provider. References to health, wellness, or fitness information in this Policy describe data practices and do not make the Services medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Additional fitness and exercise-risk terms are provided in the applicable Terms of Use.

15. Visibility, Sharing, and Coach Access

Information may be visible to your assigned coach, team, club, program administrator, or other participants based on the Services you use, the relationship you establish, and your available settings. Some community or sharing features may be designed to disclose information to other users or the public.

Review the applicable sharing description and settings before joining an organization or using a sharing feature. Leaving an organization may stop future access but may not remove records another organization independently retains under its own legal obligations or agreements.

16. Marketing Communications

We may send service-related communications concerning accounts, payments, security, connected services, support, or policy changes. We may also send newsletters, event invitations, education, and promotional communications where permitted.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the message. Opting out of marketing does not prevent necessary service communications.

17. Third-Party Links and Services

The Services may link to third-party websites, applications, products, events, or services. This Policy does not govern third parties’ independent practices. Review their privacy policies before providing information. A link or integration does not mean TrainAnything controls or endorses the third party’s privacy practices.

18. Notice for Residents of Certain U.S. States

Certain U.S. state privacy laws may require additional disclosures. During the preceding 12 months, we may have collected the categories described in Section 3, including identifiers; customer records; commercial information; internet or electronic-network activity; geolocation information; audio or visual information; professional or membership information; sensitive information such as health, fitness, account-credential, and precise-location data; and inferences or derived insights.

We collect and use these categories for the purposes described in Section 4. We may disclose them to the categories of recipients described in Section 7, including service providers, affiliates, coaches and authorized personnel, connected services at your direction, legal recipients, and transaction counterparties.

We do not sell personal information for money. Our practices involving advertising cookies or similar technologies, if any, will be described in applicable notices and made subject to legally required opt-out rights.

Residents of states that provide privacy rights may exercise them as described in Section 12. We may deny or limit a request where permitted by law and will provide an appeal process where required.

19. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the Services, integrations, information practices, law, security, or operations. We will post the updated Policy and revise the “Last Updated” date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the Services, by email, or by another appropriate method.
